WYAS has been successful in its application to BT for a free laptop and free wireless broadband for a year.
WYAS were one of 40 groups in the Yorkshire Region to receive the award. There were apparently thousands of applicants across the UK but the WYAS plan to use the internet to help in public lectures and to connect to telescopes Worldwide won the day. The Toshiba Satellite laptop computer arrives on the 27th August and the BT landline will hopefully be installed by the following week. This will change the way that we operate and bring us into the 21st Century.
